Money Magazine Recognizes Copa Airlines as One of the Best Airlines in The World for Second Consecutive Year
Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings, S.A., {NYSE: CPA}, and member of the global Star Alliance network, ranked #1 for a second consecutive year as the most recommended Latin American airline by Money magazine, Time Inc. This award is presented as a result of the magazine’s evaluation of overall costs, ticket pricing, customer experience and flight performance among 70 international airlines.
“Receiving recognition from Money magazine as one of the top airlines in the world and the best in Latin America is the result of the work, dedication and commitment of the Copa Airlines’ team, proving daily that Panamanians and Latin Americans can be among the best in the world,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.
In the magazine’s April edition, Money highlighted that Copa Airlines is “famously reliable” and known for its punctuality. The airline was recently recognized by OAG of London as 2018’s best in the world, while also naming it “the best Latin American airline in terms of value.”
In addition, FlightStats also named Copa Airlines as “The most punctual airline in Latin America” for the sixth consecutive year, showing that punctuality is Copa’s main differentiator, highly regarded by international organizations and above all, Copa’s passengers.
Copa Airlines currently operates an average of 350 daily flights through the Hub of the Americas, the hub of connections with the most international flights in the region, located at the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City, and from where it connects 80 cities in 32 countries of North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
